Grundig Satellit 1000 The fourth model in the Satellit series was the Grundig Satellit 1000 Transistor 6002. It was manufactured from 1972 to 1973. For the first time, a Grundig Satellit received a plastic housing. To ensure the consistently good sound quality, a more powerful audio frequency stage was installed. In the early 1970s, slide controls were in fashion, so the Satellit 1000 was also equipped with them. Grundig could rightly be proud that the Satellit 1000 was the only one among 14 tested world receivers to receive the rating “very good.” This radio was available in three different versions: 1. black with “sunburst grille” 2. black in a professional look 3. walnut-colored.
Grundig Satellit 2000 This particular model was built for 2 years between 1973 and 1975. As slide adjustments were still the rage they were also featured on the Grundig Satellit 2000. Mechanically this model saw many changes including taking the drum tuner and placing it horizontally which allowed for easier reading of the frequencies. Naturally Grundig infused it's superior technical know-how into this beautiful worldreceiver and it's performance continued to impress with great reception and that fabled Grundig Sound. GRUNDIG Satellit 2000 BLACK Edition From my private show glas collection. Works perfectly and is in excellent collector quality. (like new - mint) Only very very small signs of gentle use. Grundig Satellit 208 Grundig not resting on it's laurels from the success with the 205 Grundig brought the Grundig Satellit 208 Transistor 6000 to the market. It came with several technical improvements (eg Dopelsuper) to the 205 and "another outfit's" offerings. The 8 band drum tuner had now also been mounted vertically and covered the bandwidths between 5 and 30 mhz.1.6 to 5 mhz had now been moved to the main scala ans was designated as KW 1. This particular receiver has been and is still lauded as THE most significant Grundig Satellit by Grundig affecianados and shortwaqve radio fans the world over. With it's handsome lines, ease of use and superior tone the Grundig Satellit 208 Transistor 6000 was made available in a black "pleather" and the grill had the "Sonnenschliff" or a walnutveneer and walnut pattern grill cover. A special note: Very early radios also had the Grundig Satellit 205's gray leather. These are exceedingly rare.
Grundig Satellit 210 Transistor 6001 In 1969 The Grundig 208 was replaced by the Grundig Satellit 210. This transportable world receiver model's run continued through 1971. And although only a few minor technical advancements were offered the changes themselves were significant. For one, an additional dial located next to the bass and treble adjustment dials allowed the use of a Shortwave external antenna or even a car antenna. The headphone input was placed next to the tweeter for easier access. And finally, for the first time Grundig made provisions to allow the use of a dryfit 476 battery pack further enhancing the radio's mobility and flexebility. It did require the purchase of a special connector (TN 14). The 210 was available also in an Amateur offering. The Grundig Satellit 210 Amateur was granted permission to access the highly restricted shipping radio frequency ranges and was therefore also easily intgrated into commercial and private ship communications rooms. Like it's predecessor this gorgeous radio was offered in two color schemes: Black pleather with the "Sunburst" speaker grill or the especially striking and rare Walnut veneer with a walnut pattern grill
Grundig Satellit 3000 This Hybride was built between 1977 and 1978. It cost DM 1300.00, a princely sum even by today's standards and almost unheard of back in those days. But for the Grundig affecianado it was money well spent for a brand new concept in both the technical and the optical department for a receiver. It also weighed 9 Kg (approx. 18 lbs) Technical innovations included a on/ off switch for the digital frequency counter, a removable quartz clock, built in SSB unit. 3 position bandwidth selector, and 6 UKW (FM) preset buttons. GRUNDIG Satellit 3000 DIGITAL. Collector's quality! Built between 1977- 1978. From my private collection. Works perfectly and is in mint condition. Antenna straight, battery compartment clean, dials all crystal clear. Everything has been checked, new light bulbs, all contacts were cleaned. Grundig Satellit 500 Built (1989-1991) This innovative radio started off by charming with it's well thought out design. But especially the technical advances were another Grundig stroke of genius. Thanks to newly evolved microprocessor technology, Grundig was able to provide these smaller radios with the larger predecessors' abilities in recption and sound quality. The 500 also provided a large LCD display for easy reading of the desired frequencies among other useful information. Also, the headphones now provided true FM stereo . Also of noteworthiness were the sleeptimer, SSB and USB.
The premium display case collection comprised all Grundig Satellit models ever built in like-new condition. It contained 17 world receivers manufactured between 1964 and 1996 – including the YachtBoy 500 and the Eton E1
Grundig Satellit 3400 Manufactured between 1978 and 1982. Essentially, it featured the same proven technology as the Grundig Satellit 3000. Visually, however, there were a few changes that immediately caught the eye. The front of the cabinet now featured two vertically mounted protective brackets. The waffle grille was replaced by a mesh grille painted in the corresponding cabinet color. The cabinet was available in three different versions: black – Professional black with silver speaker rings brown version from 1980 onward This Grundig Satellit also received a “very good” rating from Stiftung Warentest.

Grundig Satellit 300 (Buillt 1983-1985) The Grundig Satellit 300 was the first truely compact Satellit. It was possible through the advancements of microprocessor technology. This was also the first in it's line to exclusively be equipped with digital frequency display. which manifested itself in a small frequency display. The desirted frequency was entered either by dialing it in on the side mounted knob or by the use of a preset button. The automatic search feature was a handy addition. Also featured were 4 presets for Mw and Lw. 9 presetes for SW1, SW2 and Ukw (FM) rounded out the picture. because of the technological advances a total of 35 frquencies could be stored. Grundig Satellit 650 the successor to 600 the Satellit 650 is similar in size shape and function but there were a few visual differences. Technically the 2 radios are identical. One of the differences the Grundig Satellit 650 has a socket to allow plugging in a LW cable antenna for enhanced reception. Also Grundig provided a switch for intenal Ferrit antenna. The Grundig Satellit 650 was available in Gemini grey and black-gray metallic. This was the last of the large volume world recievers produced by Grundig. Of note the last 1000 of these rare radios was provided number plate and certificate that would distinguish it from the other Grundig Satellit 650s. One also received a speciallly marked Sennheiser headphone and a special briefcase with all oiriginal paperwork with these Grundig Satellit 650 final edition.

Grundig Satellit 700 Although similar to the Grundig Satellit 500 in appearance the technical advances made the Grundig Satellit 700 by far one of the if not THE best compact world recievers, bar none! The Grundig Satellit 700 left the assembly line betwen 1992 and 1996 and thusly was the "last" radio in the Grundig line (with the exception of Eaton E1 which, although it appeared under the Eaton name is considered by many the successor to the Grundig Satellit 700). This nearly perfect radios' retail price was DM 900.00. Among other advances this radio provided a memo box file which allowed (through the use of 3 additional EEPROM's) the storage of up to 2048 presets. The Grundig Satellit 700 was also the first Grundig Satellit that provided RDS (a station identification function that showed not only the station but also the artist and the song title) and sadly the last built original Grundig Satellit.

Grundig proudly introduced the world receiver to the public in 1964. Immediately accepted as the standard of the Grundig Satellit 205/ 205A Transistor 5000 This top-notch reciever is the first in the extremely successful Satellit Series of World Receivers. Built between 1964 and 1966 it quickly established itself as the Standard that all other receivers measured themselves by. It featured a horizontally mounted tuner drum. And the seperate SW tuner allows for a better reception and finer tuning in the 16, 19, 25, 31, 41 und 49 meter bands. A further highlight is a specially optimzed BFO component that allows for the reception of unmodulated telegraph senders (CW) and the reception of highly desired SSB. The entire SW range 19 bis 187 meter allows for a large easily legible display. It is broken down into KW1: 62 - 187m, KW2: 24 - 67 m, KW3: 15 - 25 m, KW4: 10 - 15,5 m. SW - range: 1,6 - 30 mhz. 1965 brought the development of the Grundig Satellit 205 Amateur. This receiver's tuner drum was refined even further by having the band ranges segregated into now 6 separate ranges. ( 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 und 10 Meter)dustry this radio with it's 10 shortwave ranges stood without par (1.6-30 mhz). This first in a long line of great and successful series of top of the line travel receivers Built between 1964 and 1966 this radio was also available in an amateur with a specially fitted drum tuner (Grundig Satellit205a Amateur). Built 1964 - 1966 This radio is in excellent condition, technically and optically. It has a nice speaker grill and it is a hot receiver. AC/DC adapter is inserted.
